THE Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) will form a partnership with its Japanese counterpart in hopes of giving boost to the performance of Filipino athletes.
POC chairman Tom Carrasco bared that the body is now in the process of finalizing details of its partnership with the Japan Olympic Committee (JOC) that will benefit local athletes.
Carrasco said the partnership will allow training of national athletes and coaches in Japan, and exchanges in medical science, doping, and marketing knowledge, among others.
“The proposed memorandum of agreement will cover a lot of areas of cooperation between our counterparts in Japan,” said Carrasco.
The JOC earlier donated $30,000 in aid of victims of super typhoon ‘Yolanda.’
