Pickleball is no longer just a weekend pastime — it’s a national movement, the fastest growing racket sport in the country.
The Philippine Pickleball Federation (PPF) is driving that shift, turning informal games into a structured, nationwide sport. With a national player registry and official rankings launched in 2026, the organization is setting the rules, pathways, and standards for tournaments, coaching, and officiating.
“In just a few years, growth has been huge. Now, we’re building systems for fairness, credibility, and long-term development,” says PPF president Shery Anne Cu.
Support system for pickleball
And brands like Skechers got in early, supporting grassroots events, designing pickleball-specific shoes, and backing tournaments like the first Philippine Pickleball National Championship.
Players like Sarah Jane Lim-Narvasa and Leander Lazaro now compete under official recognition, helping elevate the game.
The next milestone? The Skechers Pickleball First Philippine Pickleball Amateur Nationals, March 28–30 at Tela Park, Las Piñas City.
Beyond competition, this development will feed into national rankings and unite players from across the country under clear, fair rules.
Pickleball isn’t just about points and trophies. It’s now a community sport that promotes active lifestyles, strengthens bonds, and opens doors to regional and international play.
