The tournament search for the next Ninja Warrior is set on July 26 to 30.

It will be the Filipinos’ first time to join the international meet since the federation was built in 2017.

Southeast Asian Games gold medalists Jaymark Rodelas and Precious Cabuya will banner the team alongside Kevin Pascua, Jay-R De Castro, Ahgie Radan, Kaizen Dela Serna, Milky Mae Tejares, and Mecca Cortizano.

The national athletes already left the country last Tuesday, after a send-off event conducted by Arcovia City, which served as their training grounds for the past years.

The same lineup is to compete in the 2023 Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) World Championships just days after Ninja World Cup.

“This is arguably the biggest competition our athletes will be part of,” POSF president Atty. Al Agra explained.

For the past two SEA Games where OCR was played, team Pilipinas conquered the region bagging a total of 10 golds, four from Cambodia 2023, and six from Philippines 2019.

It would be the athletes’ first time to showcase on a bigger scale of the world level.

To prepare for the event, the team’s coaches revealed that they practice a two-way mentorship between themselves and the athletes, customizing workouts and training plans depending on one’s needs.

“We train six times a week, may minor adjustments kasi iba compared to SEAGames, more obstacles now, and of course, we also prepare the mentality because it’s just as important,” coach Precious Aguilar said.

The OCR team is also joined by the six youth national athletes to participate in the juniors level as well.
