PATRICK "Pato" Gregorio is set to assume the chairmanship of the Philippine Sports Commission.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin told Malacanang reporters on Saturday the appointment of Gregorio, replacing Richard Bachmann.
As part of the government revamp, Bachmann submitted his courtesy resignation which President Marcos Jr. accepted.
Talk about Gregorio’s appointment at the PSC has been brewing for months before Bersamin's confirmation.
There is no word yet on whether the PSC will also have a new board which currently comprise of Bong Coo, Fritz Gaston, Walter Francis Torres, and Ed Hayco.
Gregorio held different positions in sports including being a PBA chairman, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas executive board, and the Philippine Rowing Association president.

Gregorio is the 13th PSC chairman and the third under the Marcos Jr. administration after Noli Eala in 2022, and Bachmann, who served from 2022 to 2025.
