GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Patricia Mae Santor made a big splash on the pool to become the most bemedalled swimmer of the Batang Pinoy 2025 at the Acharon Sports Complex.
The 17-year-old Santor, representing the City of Manila LGU, amassed six gold medals and set two new meet records in her final Batang Pinoy.
The University of Santo Tomas student-athlete set a new Batang Pinoy record in the 16-17 years old 50m butterfly with a time of 28.67 seconds, breaking the previous mark of 29.27 set by Jasmine Mojdeh in 2023.

Santor, along with Kristine Uy, Naomi Sy, and Elaisa Rodriguez, also bagged a gold in the 4x50m medley in record time, checking in at 1:55.42, erasing the old mark of 1:56.42 by Quezon City last year.
She will also go back to Manila with the gold medals in the 200m individual medley (2:29.67), 100m butterfly (2:23.37), 200m butterfly (2:23.37), and the 4x50m medley relay (2:08.86) with Uy, Sy, and Rodriguez.
Sophia Rose Garra of Malabon, meanwhile, bagged five gold medals in the girls’ 12-13 years old class while setting three new records, all of which she broke convincingly.
The 13-year-old Garra smashed two of her records including the 200m backstroke where she clocked 2:25.54, breaking her old mark by 4.06 seconds.
Garra also set a new mark in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:06.60, erasing her own mark by 2.17 seconds. The gold in the 50m backstroke for Garra was also won in a new meet record time, clocking 30.71 seconds and resetting the mark of 33.16 seconds by Nicole Queen Diamante of Las Piñas City.
Garra also won gold in the 200m individual medley (2:32.14), and the 200m freestyle (2:18.37).
FJ Catherine Cruz of Mabalacat, Pampanga, and Nuche Veronica Ibit of Aklan also clinched five gold medals in the meet.
Cruz’s gold medals are in the 16-17 years old 200m freestyle (2:15.00), 100m freestyle (1:01.17), 50m backstroke (31.17 – new record), 200m backstroke (2:29.51), and 100m backstroke (1:07.93 – new record).
Ibit clinched the gold medals in the 14-15 years old 100m freestyle (1:01.80), 50m butterfly (30.56), 50m freestyle (27.75 – new record), 100m freestyle (1:07.59), and 200m freestyle (2:16.37).
