PASIG City wrested the Batang Pinoy overall title for the second straight time in a close race with Baguio City during the 2025 edition recently held in General Santos City.

Pasig copped 95 golds, 72 silvers, and 87 bronzes to rule the multisport event for the second consecutive time for athletes aged 17 and under, beating Baguio City by only four gold medals.

In 2024, Pasig had a wider margin after it captured 105 gold medals, 13 more than Baguio City.

As promised by the organizing Philippine Sports Commission, Pasig City will receive P5 million for emerging as the overall champion.

Baguio, formerly the overall champion for four consecutive times before 2024, tallied 91-72-74 (gold-silver-bronze) in the final medal tally that was released on Tuesday – four days after the official close of the Games.

Davao City finished third with a 53-53-65 count, followed by Quezon City with 45-51-57, and Manila with 43-37-32.

The second to fifth place finishers will receive P4 million, P3 million, P2 million, and P1 million respectively from the PSC.

Sta. Rosa City placed sixth with 38-29-30, while host General Santos City made it at seventh with 36-43-51.

Makati City (35-16-21), Cebu City (31-32-52), and Zamboanga City (27-18-15) round out the top 10 in the medal tally.

A total of 159 out of the 188 local government units won at least a medal in the multisport event where 27 sports was played.
