JERROLD Mangliwan finished at the eighth spot in the men’s 400m T52 final of the 2024 Paralympic Games athletics at the Stade De France in Paris.
Mangliwan clocked one minute, 4.55 seconds to take the last spot in the final race for the gold won by Maxine Carabin of Belgium with a time of 55.10 seconds, with Tomoki Sato of Japan and Tomoya Ito both of Japan claiming the silver and bronze with 56.26 and 1:01.08, respectively.
The Filipino wheelchair racer improved his time from the heats where he clocked 1:05.79 to make it to the final eight.
The clocking, however, is still slower than the 1:03.41 the 44-year-old registered in the heats of the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
