Gary Bejino finishes last in men's 400 free in Paralympics

GARY Bejino could not keep pace in the men’s 400m freestyle - S6, placing last among 13 swimmers in the resumption of Team Philippines’ campaign in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games on Thursday morning.

Bejino clocked five minutes and 52.28 seconds in Heat 1. That was 46 seconds off the pace set by Talisson Henrique Glock of Brazil, who checked in at 5:06.28.

The 25-year-old Bejino returned to the pool after he placed 14th on Monday in the men’s 50m butterfly, and 17th in the men’s 400m individual medley last week.

    Glock, Viacheslav Lenskii of Russia Olympic Committee (5:11.07), Antonio Fantin of Italy (5:12.08), Bermudez Gutierrez of Mexico (5:14.10), Andrei Granichka of Russia Olympic Committee (5:15.38), Raul Bermudez Gutierrez of Mexico (5:26.10), Lorenzo Perez Escalona of Cuba (5:26.57), and Daniel Videira of Portugal (5:26.88) are the finalists in the 400m.
