BANTAY, Ilocos Sur — National Capital Region swept the gold medals in the 2018 Palarong Pambansa rhythmic gymnastics elementary competitions at the Sta. Maria Municipal Gym in Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur.
Breanna Labadan ruled the individual all-around on Thursday with a score of 48.884.
With Denise Sabunod (43.283) bagging the individual silver and Charmy Deseree Flores (40.350) taking bronze, NCR capture the team gold with a total score of 132.5167.
NCR also won the secondary level gold as Jhazelle Louise Lemenzon, Divina Sembrano and Kristal Mae Maquidato scored a total of 145.2333.
Labadan finished in first place in the rope, ball and clubs, while placing in third in the freehand.
Daniela Reggie Dela Pisa of Central Visayas topped the individual event with a score of 50.567, winning the rope, hoop and ball.
In other events, Western Visayas claimed four golds in wushu with Dave Darras winning the secondboys 45kg), while also topping their events were Jerson Parreno (secondary boys 48kg), Ghea Mae Gregorios (secondary girls 42kg) and Ghemlie Luna (secondary girls 48kg).
Other winners in the secondary boys were Sonny Vic Palomino of Eastern Visayas (42kg), Asher Rifani of Cordillera Administrative Region (52kg), and Ezra Saclag of Cordillera Administrative Region (56kg)
Lenie Agapito of Cordillera Administrative Region (45kg), and Roni Marielle Santiago of Davao Region (52kg) took home the gold in the secondary girls wushu.
Hannah Erica Magluyan of Western Visayas took the secondary girls 8-ball gold, while Abad Supena Jr. won the boys side.
