BANTAY, llocos Sur—National Capital Region reached the century mark of golds as the 2018 Palarong Pambansa came to a close on Saturday at the President Elpidio Quirino Stadium here.
Gold medals in the secondary basketball boys and badminton raised NCR’s tally to 100 gold medals on top of 70 silvers and 50 bronzes on Saturday to once again show its supremacy in the Palaro.
Calabarzon finished in second place with a 55-50-73 gold-silver-bronze mark, while Western Visayas had 46-45-55.
Central Visayas wound up fourth at 26-25-36, followed by Cordillera Administrative Region (25-22-23), Northern Mindanao (23-18-29), Soccsksargen (21-26-32), Central Luzon (21-21-24), Davao Region (12-27-28), and Cagayan Valley (11-8-14).
Host Region 1 placed 11th (10-11-31) followed by Eastern Visayas (9-10-9), Bicol Region (8-16-28), Caraga Region (8-10-20), Mimaropa (5-12-12), Zamboanga Peninsula (1-9-23), and ARMM (0-0-3).
