BANTAY, Ilocos Sur — Calabarzon arranged a semifinal match against National Capital Region as Western Visayas also made it to the Final Four of the 2018 Palarong Pambansa secondary boys basketball tournament at the San Juan Covered Court in San Juan, Ilocos Sur.
Calabarzon trounced Cagayan Valley, 90-47, while Western Visayas defeated Northern Mindanao, 104-99.
The semifinals is slated on Friday morning at the San Juan Covered Court.
It will be an NCAA against UAAP showdown in one of the semifinal pairing with Calabarzon carrying many-time NCAA champion San Beda, and NCR represented by UAAP side National University.
NCR bested Central Visayas in Thursday’s quarterfinal match-up.
Western Visayas, on the other hand, will be facing Davao Region, which stunned Central Luzon in their quarterfinal match.
