JOANIE Delgaco advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2024 Paris Olympics rowing regatta after topping one of the three heats in the repechage round of the women’s single sculls at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium.
Delgaco clocked seven minutes, and 55 seconds to top Heat 1, sealing her place in the quarterfinals that would assure the first-ever Filipina rower in the Olympics of a top 24 finish.

Reigning Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Pham Thi Hue took second place, 4.03 seconds behind Delgaco, and will also advance to the quarterfinal round to be held on July 30.
