NESTHY Petecio and Aira Villegas hacked out rousing victories early Tuesday morning to clinch berths in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The two Filipina both won on points against their respective opponents in the World Qualification Tournament in Busto Arsizio, Italy, giving Philippine boxing two more entries - and hopefully more - in this year's Olympiad.

A silver medalist in Tokyo four years ago, the 31-year-old Petecio gets another crack at the Olympics following her 4-1 decision against Esra Yildiz of Turkey in their women's 57 kg semifinals.
Villegas was not to be outdone, carving out a 5-0 win over Zlatislava Chukanova of Bulgaria in the quarterfinals of the women's 50 kg class.
The two join middleweight Eumir Marcial as the Filipino boxers so far to have secured a ticket to the Paris Games.
