RIO DE JANEIRO — Miguel Tabuena ended his Olympic campaign on a high note, finishing a one-under par 70 for a 291 total at the end of the men’s golf individual stroke play.

Tabuena finally broke par to end his Olympic stint on a positive note after struggling with the winds at the Rio De Janeiro Golf Course as well as a shoulder injury in the first three rounds.

Teeing off well ahead of the leaders, the 23-year-old Asian Tour regular stood at 53rd place with a seven-over total following rounds of 73, 75 and 73.

The reigning Philippine Open champion ended his campaign with birdies on the par-4 16th and par-5 18th to atone for his bogey at the start of the back nine.

The reigning Philippine Open champion had three bogeys against birdies at No. 3 and No. 5 but a birdie at the par-3 eighth put the Filipino back at even par after the front nine.
