ACTIVITIES have been lined up in the coming days to honor Team Philippines upon its return from a triumphant campaign in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Double-gold medal winning gymnast Carlos Yulo leads the Philippine delegation arriving in Manila on Tuesday afternoon at around 4 p.m. where a brief welcome ceremony await them at Villamor Air Base.
From there, they will be brought to Malacañang Palace where no less than President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is expected to personally congratulate the delegation for the country's most successful campaign in 100 years of Olympics participation.

A ticker-tape parade around Manila is also scheduled on Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. to give the Filipino people a chance to see the Olympic athletes personally.
A Facebook post by the Presidential Communications Office bared the parade will start at Aliw Theather and end at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
The parade will pass through V. Sotto in front of Aliw Theater, Roxas Boulevard, Padre Burgos, Finance Road, Taft Avenue, President Quirino Avenue and M. Adriatico St. before arriving at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

Yulo highlighted the success of the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics after claiming gold medals in the floor exercise and vault in the men’s artistic gymnastics.
Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas also added to the tally of the Philippines by taking home a bronze each in boxing.
There were also notable performances including pole vaulter EJ Obiena and golfer Bianca Pagdanganan, who both finished fourth and narrowly missed a medal in the Paris Games.
