CARLO Biado is the last man standing for the Philippines in the World 9-Ball Championship, reaching the round-of-16 on Tuesday night.
Biado defeated Jeong Young Hwa of Korea, 11-4, in the last 32.
Dennis Orcollo failed to make it to the next round as the former world champion lost to Jayson Shaw of Great Britain, 11-6.
Biado will face Ko Ping Chung of Chinese Taipei on Wednesday night for a slot in the quarterfinals.
Fil-Canadian Alex Pagulayan, who represents Canada in the tournament, was able to reach the round-of-16 after beating Zhou Long of China, 11-8.
Pagulayan faces Indonesia’s Muhammad Bewi with the winner facing either Biado or Hwa in the quarters.
