SCOTTIE Thompson is likely out of the remaining Gilas Pilipinas games in Europe after suffering a hand injury.
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas said Thompson sustained a fracture on his shooting hand and he will consult a hand specialist upon arrival in Manila.
Before suffering the hand injury, Thompson missed a game in Estonia due to back spasms.
The PBA Season 46 MVP averaged 6.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in six games for the Philippines in the Fiba Basketball World Cup qualifiers.
Phoenix makes clarification on offer to Serrano

PHOENIX moved to clear up the confusion on the contract offer to Encho Serrano, saying the guard from Pampanga was set to get higher pay after his rookie year.
The P70,000 a month mentioned in an earlier interview with Serrano’s long-time patron Dennis Pineda was the rookie’s salary and a higher salary was offered during contract renewal negotiations, according to Fuel Masters team manager Paolo Bugia.
"Encho's first year salary was aligned with his 19th pick spot," Bugia told Spin.ph.
Still, Serrano chose to move to the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the MPBL.
NorthPort signs Will Navarro to new two-year deal

WILLIAM Navarro has been signed to a new two-year deal by NorthPort even as he recovers from an ACL injury.
The 26-year-old Navarro injured his left knee in the quarterfinals of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup against Barangay Ginebra in Decvember 2022.
Navarro is expected to suit up when PBA Season 48 opens in October.
