Poy Erram retires from Gilas

POY Erram is now focusing on injury rehab as he retires from international play.
The TNT big man was not able to rejoin Gilas Pilipinas after its European training and underwent surgery to repair a torn MCL.
"Yes I'm retiring na with the national team," Erram told Spin.ph.
Erram is the latest to exit what started a few months ago as a 21-man national pool Fiba Basketball World Cup.
Kai Sotto update

THE Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas said Kai Sotto’s camp has yet to submit the required medical documents proving he is fit to play.
"We are close to finalizing our agreement but we cannot move forward until our doctors receive a copy of Kai's MRI or medicals which allow the medical team to certify that Sotto is 100 percent healthy," SBP director of operations and Gilas team manager Butch Antonio told Spin.ph.
Sotto aggravated a back issue while playing for the Orlando Magic Summer League team and was unable to join Gilas in the mini tournament in China. He has been attending Gilas practice but SBP says without the MRI result or medical report, Sotto cannot be included in the Philippines’ squad to the Fiba Basketball World Cup.
"They can at least have Kai's doctors talk to our doctor, Randy Molo. We go from there and perhaps arrive at a resolution," Antonio said.
