    Another import switch

    Myles Powell Andrew Nicholson

BAY Area has put Myles Powell back in harness, another import switch for PBA guest team Bay Area in the Commissioner’s Cup, as the Dragons hope to extend the finals against Ginebra.

After declaring they’re sticking with Andrew Nicholson despite an ankle injury and that Powell is done due to a foot injury, Bay Area made the announcement for the import change ahead of Game Six of the best-of-seven title series.

Nicholson went down in Game Three and missed Games Four and Five after hurting his right ankle, while Powell has been out since December after sustaining an injury in practice and had been declared done for the tournament.

Bay Area is unbeaten in eight games with Powell as its main man.

    Ginebra ready

MYLES Powell’s return gives Bay Area another outside shooter, but coach Tim Cone says Ginebra will be ready.

The Gin Kings lead 3-2 and try to finish off the Dragons on Wednesday in Game Six of the Commissioner’s Cup title series.

"He will certainly change the way they play and the way we have to defend," Cone said.

"We had time to prepare a bit."

Powell nailed 11 triples in a 50-point game against Rain or Shine in the elimination round.

    LA Tenorio update

LA Tenorio is a game-time decision as Ginebra tries to close out the Commissioner’s Cup title series against Bay Area.

The 38-year-old Gin Kings playmaker suffered what was then thought as a groin injury in the first half of Game Five but has not been ruled out for Wednesday night’s game.

“It’s turning out to be more of an abdominal strain,” coach Tim Cone said.

JOSHUA Munzon, the top pick in the 2020 PBA Draft, is being traded by Terrafirma to NorthPort.

The 27-year-old Munzon and last year’s eighth pick Javi Gomez de Liano are moving to NorthPort, which is sending Kevin Ferrer, Jesper Ayaay and a future second-round pick to the Dyip.

Munzon averaged 8.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in the Commissioner’s Cup where the Dyip went 1-11.
