Ginebra gears up for battle

PRESSURE is on for Ginebra, the last PBA team standing in the Commissioner’s Cup, as it defends home turf against Bay Area.
The best-of-seven finals open on Sunday, with coach Tim Cone hoping to deliver for the home fans.
“To be honest, we are playing for more than ourselves,” said Cone.
“We’ve talked about this with the team. We are playing for more than just ourselves. We are playing for more than just Ginebra. We are playing for the league. We are playing for the country. It almost feels like we are a national team which is really cool and a lot of fun for us.”
Dragons coach Brian Goorjian said focus won’t be only on Justin Brownlee.
"They are a great basketball team. The cornerstones of the game, getting back on defense, controlling their halfcourt, we just have to be very well-polished at to win the series,” Goorjian added.
