Miranda named FEU coach

Denok Miranda is officially appointed FEU head coach on Wednesday.

DENNIS 'Denok' Miranda has been named Far Eastern University head coach as Johnny Abarrientos takes on the role of Tamaraws team consultant.

Miranda was a member of the UAAP champion Tamaraws in 2003 and 2004 and worked as assistant coach under Olsen Racela, who was hired in 2016 but was dropped last month after FEU missed the semifinals for the first time in eight seasons.

Abarrientos also moves up from an assistant role, being installed consultant after declining the head coaching spot. The former PBA MVP is also currently an assistant coach of the Magnolia Hotshots.

Three-team trade approved

Three-team six-player trade

THE NLEX-Phoenix-TNT six-team trade has been approved.

Phoenix sent Jake Pascual and Sean Anthony to the Road Warriors for Justin Chua, Paul Varilla, and NLEX’s highest second-round pick in the 48th season draft.

The Fuel Masters then sent Chua and Varilla to TNT for Raul Soyud, JJ Alejandro, and the Tropang Giga’s second-round pick in the 52nd season draft.

NLEX signings

CLINT Doliguez returns to the PBA, signing with the NLEX Road Warriors.

The No. 6 overall pick by the Elasto Painters in the 2019 draft, Doliguez played for NorthPort last season before joining Pioneer in the PBA 3x3.

Doliguez was a member of two NCAA champion San Beda teams under coach Boyet Fernandez.

NLEX earlier acquired Jake Pascual and Sean Anthony in a three-team six-player trade, and later signed Hesed Gabo of MPBL champion Nueva Ecija.

JOHN Rey Pasaol scored 27 as Far Eastern University defeated University of the East, 116-80, on Wednesday in the UAAP juniors basketball tournament in San Juan.

Jedric Daa had 12 points and was a rebound short of a double-double as the Baby Tamaraws notched their second win in as many games.

Peter Rosillo had 14 points and JR Abayon scored 13 as Adamson beat De La Salle-Zobel, 78-60, to even their record to 1-1.

The Junior Archers and the Junior Warriors hold 0-2 records.

National University routed University of Sto. Tomas 84-58, while Ateneo beat University of the Philippines, 109-64.
