KAI Sotto is not ready to see action yet as the Philippine basketball team leaves for China to play in a pocket tournament.

Sotto is not joining Gilas in the trip as sources say the 7-foot-3 center, who hurt his back while playing for the Orlando Magic Summer League team, has asked for 11 more days of recovery.

Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson, who is taking the spot for a naturalized player on the Philippine team for the Fiba Basketball World Cup, is expected to meet up with Gilas in China for the Heyuan WUS International Basketball Tournament in Guandong.

The team for the China meet also has June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, Jamie Malonzo, Roger Pogoy, Chris Newsome, Calvin Oftana, Poy Erram, CJ Perez, Bobby Ray Parks Jr., Dwight Ramos, Kiefer Ravena, Thirdy Ravena, AJ Edu and Rhenz Abando.
