BARANGAY Ginebra did just enough to get past Magnolia, 87-84, even as the Hotshots played without an import for most of the second half in Game One of their semifinal showdown in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Nick Rakocevic was sent off after being called for two technical fouls in the third period, but the Hotshots managed to stay in the game as Justin Brownlee could not provide the Kings the needed lift lift.
