Gilas Pilipinas practice canceled
JUST a week after its first practice, Gilas Pilipinas had to cancel its scheduled second training for the Southeast Asian Games.
Only seven players from the 28-man pool confirmed attendance for practice, forcing the coaching staff to call it off.
Gilas has yet to decide if practice will be held later this week or wait for next Monday to resume training.
“Depends on availabilities,” said coach Chot Reyes.
Basketball in the Cambodia SEAG is set May 9 to 16.
Star-studded lineup
FORMER PBA star Marc Pingris and active stars Arwind Santos and Alex Cabagnot have been listed by Pampanga on its roster for the next MPBL tournament.
Encho Serrano, also an active PBA player, and Justine Baltazar are also in the Giant Lanterns’ 25-man roster posted on their Facebook page.
The players’ camps have yet to respond to queries about the post.
