Gilas goes 3-1 in China

DWIGHT Ramos scored 17 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as the Philippines scored a repeat win over Iran, 63-48, on Monday in the Heyuan WUS International Basketball Tournament in Guandong, China.
Jamie Malonzo came up with 11 points and 14 boards as Gilas finished the pocket tournament with a 3-1 win-loss record.
The Filipinos earlier beat the Iranians, 76-65.
Gilas split its matches against Senegal.
Ken Tuffin joining PBA Draft

FORMER Far Eastern University Tamaraw Ken Tuffin has enlisted for the PBA Draft.
The draft is set next month.
Tuffin still had a year of eligibility in the UAAP when he entered the 2020 New Zealand National Basketball Leaugue draft where he was picked in the seventh round by the Taranaki Mountainairs.
He later moved to the Wellington Saints.
Torre wins in Guam

EUGENE Torre dominated the 2023 Guam International Open Chess Tournament at the Dusit Beach Resort in Tumon.
The 71-year-old Torre finished the nine-round event unbeaten.
Torre also won the event in 2015.
