BEAU Belga has been suspended by Rain or Shine for six days without pay for seeing action in an "unsanctioned basketball game" in Cebu.

The game in Carmen, Cebu pitted Northball, featuring Belga with NLEX’s JR Quinahan, against Sirius Star, is a team of streetball players from the US.

The 36-year-old Belga was seen throwing the ball at a Sirius player who got into a fight with Quinahan.

Sangalang seeks charges vs alleged match-fixer

Ian Sangalang is determined to clear his name and is seeking charges against the Singaporean man tagged in a match-fixing case.

Almond Vosotros, who was also linked to the match-fixing, said his family plans to discuss matters with lawyers, denying his involvement with the men alleged to have issued bribes to manipulate game results in the PBA and in the Thailand pro league.

The naturalized Filipino is expected to be joined by Ginebra teammates Scottie Thompson, Jamie Malonzo, Christian Standhardinger, Stanley Pringle, Jeremiah Gray, and even Japeth Aguilar, who saw limited action in the Governors Cup Finals win by TNT due to a knee sprain.

The Philippine team has been practicing with a limited number of players the past few weeks, since a bunch of the national pool members are signed with the Governors’ Cup Finals protagonists.

Basketball in the Cambodia SEAG is set May 9 to 16.

“No rest for the weary. We just keep on moving forward,” said Ginebra coach Tim Cone, who is also Gilas assistant coach.
