DE LA Salle and College of Saint Benilde are preparing for a grand double celebration for winning the general championships in the UAAP and the NCAA, respectively.
Luneta is being eyed as a possible site as the sister schools celebrate winning the overall crowns in the two most prestigious collegiate leagues in the country.
Henry Atayde, La Salle’s representative to the UAAP board, confirmed that both schools are already planning a double celebration at the Luneta.
“That’s the plan,” said Atayde, also a former NCAA Management Committee member for CSB.
De La Salle-Manila and CSB are two schools under De La Salle Philippines.
DLSU will also hold its own general championship celebration for the university community on March 22.
The Green Archers have already clinched their second straight general championship crown, regardless of the result of the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament, the final event for Season 76.
But La Salle is looking to close out the season in scintillating fashion with its women’s volleyball team one victory away from its fourth straight championship with Game Three to be played on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
St. Benilde, meanwhile, edged out last season’s titlist San Beda to win the NCAA Season 89 general championship on the same year the school is hosting the country’s oldest collegiate league.
CSB won despite only winning three titles as it showed consistency in other events, scoring 550.5 points in the overall race.
