ELAIZA Andriel Yulo followed the footsteps of her brother in the 2023 Batang Pinoy by capturing two gold medals in the women’s artistic gymnastics event held at the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines gym in Intramuros, Manila.
The 13-year-old Yulo, also called ‘Yza’ and the younger sister of world champion Carlos, captured gold medals in the FIG juniors division, ruling the vault with a score of 12 and floor exercise with a score of 11.3 to also join older brother Karl Eldrew in the winners’ circle of the Batang Pinoy.
Eldrew swept all seven events in his men’s FIG juniors category of the Batang Pinoy.
The Yulo siblings are representing Manila in the event organized by the Philippine Sports Commission and backed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp, PBA, Milo, Pocari Sweat and Chooks to Go.
Llya Clarysse Escoses captured three gold medals in the women’s FIG juniors division, taking the individual all-around with a score of 40.35, and apparatus titles in the uneven bars (8.25) and balance beam (10.55).
