Gilas update

SIX weeks to go before the Fiba Basketball World Cup, the Philippine basketball team faces crucial roster decisions due to injuries.
Dwight Ramos and Scottie Thompson, key players in running Gilas Pilipinas’ plays, suffered injuries during the Europe training and are now set to make plans for tuneup games in China.
Gilas had injury trouble well ahead of the trip, the team leaving with only a 12-man squad as Ray Parks and Roger Pogoy, among others, remain sidelined.
“We have to take a look and get the official medical prognosis of Scottie’s injury, get an MRI on Dwight’s knee because these are very important decisions that we will have to make in Manila,” Reyes said.
“They have to rest and then, we have to evaluate and sit down with the coaching staff,” said Reyes.
