PRESIDENTIAL aspirant Clint Aranas has announced a partial list of his ticket for the coming Philippine Olympic Committee elections.
The archery chief and former GSIS president will have athletics president Philip Ella Juico as his first vice president and rugby chief Ada Milby as his second vice president. Muay chief Pearl Managuelod is also part of the ticket as board member, according to Aranas.
“I respect him not only as a former Cabinet secretary and PSC chairman. May government experience siya and at the same time, as an NSA president, very successful,” said Aranas, mentioning the 11 gold medals athletics won in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Aranas will be running against incumbent POC president and Cavite eighth district representative Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino for the position. Tolentino on Tuesday also announced his partial ticket with Al Panlilio of basketball running for first vice president and Ormoc City mayor Richard Gomez of fencing and modern pentathlon vying for second vice president.
“Ada Milby is running as an independent but we are adopting her kasi pareho kami ng punto eh. Accountability and transparency. We are adopting her,” said Aranas.
“We are also adopting Pearl Managuelod. Line-up siya ni Bambol but we are adopting her. Kami naman, there is no party line. For us, we must work for the POC,” he added.
