    Over 140 barangays expected to take part in Children's Games in La Trinidad, Benguet

    THE second installment of the Children's Games will be held from July 11 to 13 in La Trinidad, Benguet.

    Over 140 barangays will take part in the event in Cordillera. The first edition of the sports meet for children aged 12 years old below was held in Davao City.

    "That is the thrust of the President Duterte, to make sports accessible to all," said Philippine Sports Commission project director Ronnel Abrenica.

    Three-on-three basketball and four-a-side football for boys, volleyball for girls and different Larong Pinoy and indigenous gams will be held in the Children's Games.

    Former PSC chairman Aparicio Mequi lauded the PSC under new chairman William Ramirez for efforts to promote sports and peace in the region.
