Paul Pierce hit a go-ahead triple with 56 seconds left as the Boston Celtics beat the Heat 94-90 on Tuesday in Miami to move within a win of the NBA Finals.
The trey put Boston ahead 90-86 and the Celtics held on to take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. They look to finish the series on Thursday (Friday in Manila) in Boston.
Kevin Garnett scored 26 points and 11 rebounds and Pierce finished with 19.
Ray Allen and Mickael Pietrus had 13 apiece for the Celtics, while Brandon Bass added 10.
James scored 30 points and hauled down 13 rebounds and Dwyane Wade scored 27, but no other Heat scored in double figures.
Oklahoma City leads the Western Conference Finals over the San Antonio Spurs, 3-2.
