TWO members of the Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 Women team that clinched a berth in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup banner the Philippine basketball squads seeing action in the 2026 Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China.
Mikka Cacho and Tantoy Ferrer return for another tour of duty for Gilas, as they team up with Kaye Pingol and Gabi Bade to spearhed the women’s campaign in the April 25 to 29 tournament.

Cacho and Ferrer, together with Kaycee Dela Rosa and Afril Bernardino, formed the unit which punched a ticket to the coming World Cup in Warsaw, Poland.

Anton Altamirano will still call the shots for the Nationals, who have been bracketed in Group C alongside Indonesia, Macau, and Kyrgyzstan.
New-look Gilas 3x3 Men
Meanwhile, the men’s side is composed of 3x3 circuit veteran Jeff Manday together with now-Binan guard Nic Cabanero, as well as Aldous Torculas and Gelo Crisostomo from San Beda and University of Santo Tomas, respectively.
Gilas 3x3 Men parades a completely different roster from the one that reached the quarterfinals of the recent FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup.
Three players from there in Jerrick Ahanmisi, Chris Koon, and Ralph Cu have since returned to their mother teams in the PBA for the ongoing Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup. Big man Sean Alter is also back with the University of the Philippines.
Trainer Patrick Fran will handle the campaign of the men’s squad, which ended up in a tough bracket in Group A alongside China, Iran, and Macau.
Only the top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout quarterfinals of both competitions.
