GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Baguio City took the lead in the Batang Pinoy 2025 medal tally after gathering 10 gold medals in archery on Tuesday.
Baguio has already won 23 gold medals as of posting time with most of the mints coming from archery courtesy of Jianna Rae Delos Reyes and Jephtha Caleb Fernandez.
Delos Reyes and Fernandez swept all three titles at stake in their respective events in the girls compound division 12 years old and boys compound division 14-under, respectively, to bring their count to 23 as of posting time.
Kester RJ Delos Reyes (boys compound 17-under first distance), Jan Precious Laking (boys compound 14-under second distance), Ryzen Keith Viduya, and Jalorrae Cxethreen Lictao (male recursive division 14-under second distance) also chipped in to aid Baguio’s rise atop the medal rankings.
Baguio also has 11 silver and 15 bronze medals, as of posting time.
Manila, which took the front for the first two days, is now in second place with 15-15-13 (gold-silver-bronze), followed by defending overall champion Baguio City with 14-10-22.
Quezon City is at fourth with 13-11-17, with host General Santos City at fifth with 8-3-3.
