South Korea, Iran, and defending champion China were the other teams that topped their respective groups to make it straight to the knockout stage.
The South Koreans will take on Chinese Taipei, which scored a 12-7 stunner against Mongolia, silver medal winner in Hangzhou, while defending champion China clashes with Japan, a 13-9 winner over Malaysia in the other play-in.
