JAKARTA – The Philippine women’s volleyball team immediately went to work on Friday following their arrival here for the 2018 Asian Games.
National head coach Shaq Delos Santos conducted a practice on Friday night following a whirlwind trip from Japan for their training camp.
The team arrived on Thursday night from Japan where they trained for two weeks. Following the grueling training, the women’s squad only stayed for hours as they went back to the airport to travel to Jakarta.
The Philippines will play Thailand in its opening match on Sunday at the GBK Tennis Indoor. They will also play Pool A teams Japan, Hong Kong, and host Indonesia.
