The team can give the Philippine contingent its third gold of the Games when it plays Vietnam in the championship game on Tuesday, 9 a.m. (8 a.m. Philippine time).
The Philippines will be playing in an Asiad sepak takraw final for the first time. Since the sport was included in the Games in 1990, the country previously delivered two bronzes, both in events played by men, and held at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Already assured of a semifinal after winning its first two games on Sunday, Sucalit, Sinogbuhan, and Salon lost earlier in the day to Korea, 13-15, 15-6, 15-9, to close the group stage with a 2-1 record to finish in second place in Group B and set up a semifinal clash with Laos, which swept Group A.

Vietnam defeated Korea, 15-6, 15-13, in the other semifinal pairing.
