Marc Alexander Lim bags ju-jitsu silver medal in Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games

MARC Alexander Lim bagged a silver medal in the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games ju-jitsu competitions in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

Lim bowed to Talib Saleh Mohamed Sale Alkirbi of United Arab Emirates, 2-0, in the men's ne-waza -69kg division final.

The Philippines is in 20th place with a silver and a bronze.

Alvin Lobreguito bagged the bronze in traditional wrestling.

Hansel Terrence Co (men's ne-waza -69kg) was disqualified against Saoud Abdulla Yousef Ali of United Arab Emirates in the quarterfinals, while Gilbert Ombao (men’s ne-waza -94kg) lost to Jonibek Atajanow of Turkmenistan.

Also making early exits were Apryl Jessica Eppinger (women’s ne-waza -62kg), who lost Buyandelger Battsogt of Mongolia, and Lou-Ann Jindani (-70kg), who bowed to Onanong Sangsirichok of Thailand.

Wrestlers Michael Vijay Carter (men’s classic -57kg), Cristof Hoffman Jr. (-90kg), Jefferson Manatad (-75kg), Grace Loberanes (women’s classic -52kg) and Noemi Tener (-58kg) earlier dropped their preliminary assignments.
