THE Filipinas will have 13 players from the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup final roster when they compete in the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
Sarina Bolden, who scored the historic first goal of the Philippines in the World Cup, leads the 21-woman roster for the Asiad, according to the line-up released by the Philippine Women’s Football National Team.

Joining Bolden in China are fellow World Cup veterans Katrina Guillou, Chandler McDaniel and Meryll Serrano at forward, midfielders Sara Eggesvik, Quinley Quezada, and Jaclyn Sawicki, defenders Reina Bonta, Jessika Cowart, Sofia Harrison, and Hali Long, and goalkeepers Olivia McDaniel and Kiara Fontanilla.
Inna Palacios and Bella Pasion, reserves in the World Cup team, are also part of the Asian Games line-up.

Eva Madarang leads the players who are making a comeback in the team after missing the World Cup final roster. Joining her are Anicka Castaneda, Kaya Hawkinson, Natalie Oca, and Alisha Del Campo.
It will be the first tour of duty for Mark Torcaso, who took over the head coaching position of the Filipinas following Alen Stajcic’s acceptance of the Perth Glory men’s team coaching job.
The Philippines will open its campaign against Hong Kong on Friday at the Wenzhou Sports Center, before facing Korea on Monday. The Filipinas battle Southeast Asian rival Myanmar next Thursday.
