JAKARTA – Divine Wally settled for a bronze medal after losing to Mansoryan Samiroumi Elaheh of Iran, 2-1, in the semifinal of the women’s sanda -52kg in the 2018 Asian Games wushu competition at the Jakarta International Expo.

The 23-year-old Wally lost to the reigning Asian Games medalist in the semifinals, but still gave a good account of herself in the competition.

The 2015 world champion improved her placing in her second Asiad after finishing fifth four years ago in Incheon.

In the round-of-16, Wally beat Mimi Yoysaykham of Laos, 2-0, and defeated Selviah Pertiwi of Indonesia, 2-0, in the quarterfinals.
