ASIDE from the athletes, coaches of the 20th Asian Games medalists will also be receiving cash incentives from the government, in accordance with the law.
A total of P12 million or 50 percent of the cash incentives of the gold, silver, and bronze medalists for the Asian Games will be handed out to the coaches under Republic Act 10699 or the Sports Benefits and Incentives Act.

The 29 medalists in the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan will be receiving a total of P24 million as provided by Republic Act 10699.
Section 9 of the Republic Act 10699 states that coaches are also entitled to cash incentives “if they have personally trained and rendered service to the athletes or teams who win in international competitions at least six months prior to the international competition.”
Certification is also needed from the individual athlete or team captain for team events for the coach to be entitled to the incentives that will be given by the government's sports agency, the Philippine Sports Commission under chairman Patrick Gregorio.

Carlos Yulo’s coach will be given P2 million for guiding the Filipino gymnastics star to two gold medals in the Asiad, while Jeus Yape’s coach gets P1.2 million for his gold in the mixed virtual taekwondo and bronze in the men’s individual poomsae.
EJ Obiena’s coach will be taking home P1 million for his gold in the men’s pole vault.
