JAKARTA – Cherry May Regalado bagged a bronze medal in the 18th Asian Games pencak silat on Monday at the Padepokan Pencak Silat.
The 23-year-old Regalado scored 444 points, a point behind silver medalist Nurzuhairah Mohammad Yazid of Singapore.
Puspa Arumsari of Indonesia wound up with the gold with a score of 467.
Regalado, who placed fourth in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, was the third bronze medalist of the Philippines in pencak silat after Dines Dumaan and Jefferson Rhey Loon in the fighting event of the sport.
