JAKARTA – Cha Cruz-Behag is having the time of her life after making it to the Philippine women’s volleyball team for the very first time in the Asian Games.
At 29, Cruz-Behag is the oldest among the players on the women’s volleyball team and is representing the flag for the first time in her decorated career.
Cruz-Behag said she is happy to finally wear the tri-colors of the Philippines and it came at a big stage in the Asian Games.
“I believe in God’s perfect timing,” said Cruz-Behag. “It doesn’t matter if it’s too early or it’s too late for me as long as nabigyan ako ng time. I will do my best and I will make the most out of it.”
The former La Salle and current F2 Logistics spiker said she is happy to be part of the national team and for the chance to help out her younger teammates in the Philippine squad.
“Siyempre, privilege and very honored na nakasama ako especially with these girls. Happy and grateful,” said Cruz-Behag.
Recently married early this year, Cruz-Behag is also happy for the support her husband is lending in her campaign with the national squad.
“He is very supportive of my career. I’m also blessed that I have a very supportive husband,” said Cruz-Behag.
