CARLOS Yulo is in danger of missing the vault final of the 20th Asian Games men’s all-around qualification in the Nagoya General Gymnasium Rainbow Hall.
Yulo fell flat on his behind on his landing on Vault 1 to register a measly score of 13.166 in a horror start to the apparatus where he is the reigning Olympic champion.

The 26-year old double gold medalist at the Paris Olympics recorded 14.133 in Vault 2 for an average of just 13.649, well below his usual scores in the apparatus.
The all-around qualification will still be completed until the afternoon, with Yulo needing to enter the top eight to reach the finals.
So the wait begins for Caloy.
Yulo is running sixth in the vault after the first subdivision with one to go where entries from traditional gymnastics powers Japan and China competing later in the afternoon.
Yulo, however, is expected to enter the final of the floor exercise where he is also the reigning Olympic champion after a score of 14.600. He is in first place after the first subdivision.
Yulo was also impressive in the parallel bars with a score of 14.266 to take the lead after the first subdivision. He recorded 13.500 in the rings and 8.233 in the pommel horse for a total score of 75.465 in the men’s all-around qualification.
Eldrew Yulo, meanwhile, had an impressive start to his Asian Games debut where he led the men’s all-around at the end of the first subdivision with a total score of 77.264.
He topped the horizontal bar with 13.433, was running second place behind his brother Caloy in the floor exercise with a score of 13.966, and was running third in the parallel bars with 12.166 at the end of Subdivision 1.
Eldrew also scored 11.733 in the pommel horse, 11.666 in the rings, and 14.300 in the vault.
Eldrew won’t be around for the vault apparatus final since he only attempted once in the qualification round.
Miguel Besana totalled 70.898 after scores of 13.133 in floor, 8.966 in pommel horse, 10.900 in rings, 14.066 in vault, 11.233 in parallel bars, and 12.600 in horizontal bar.
Justice Ace De Leon had 13.066 in the floor, 12.433 in rings, and 13.66 in vault.
Zach Nunez had 13.566 in the pommel horse, 11.800 in parallel bar, and 12.233 in horizontal bar.
