MONTALBAN – It’s Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser chance at redemption.
The TNT big man has been listed as part of Tim Cone’s 30-man Gilas Pilipinas list for the 20th Asian Games, giving him another shot at donning the national team colors in the quadrennial showcase after skipping the previous edition in Hangzhou, China three years ago.
The former no. 1 overall pick said it’s always an honor being considered as part of the national pool, but nonetheless is tempering his expectations.

After all, injury hampered what was supposed to be a first Asiad stint for him in 2023 which saw Gilas Pilipinas ending a 61-year gold medal drought when it won the title by beating Jordan in the finals, 70-60.
“Asian Games I was hoping to go the last time but I was injured,” he said, recalling how a fractured leg kept him out of Cone’s roster.
Ganuelas-Rosser is again coming off a sprained ankle injury and has just been recently activated by TNT for its PBA Governors’ Cup title retention bid.
He had his finest game of the conference on Saturday night when he came through with 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists in a 114-80 rout of Titan Ultra at the Ynares Center here.
Hopefully, health issues won’t get in the way again of his bid to have another crack of making the Gilas Pilipinas roster for next month’s Asiad.
“We’ll see how it goes. But It’s always an honor to be called upon to possibly represent flag and country,” he said
“Whatever happens I will be ready, or I’ll be cheering the guys for sure,” Ganuelas-Rosser added.
