JAKARTA - Rogen Ladon lost to Jasurbek Latipov of Uzbekistan via referee-stopped-contest on Saturday in the flyweight finals of the 18th Asian Games men's boxing competition at the Jakarta International Expo.
Doctors stepped in to stop the fight with 22 seconds left in the second round due to a nasty cut above Ladon's left eye, leaving the Filipino to settle for the country's second silver medal as the quadrennial conclave comes to a close.
The Uzbek was ahead on points, 3-1, when the gold medal match was stopped. There was confusion after the match as an RSC victory for the Uzbek was announced while the official scorecards reflected a points win.
