ALAS Pilipinas Men remained winless at the Asian Games after falling to regional rival Indonesia, 23-25, 26-24, 22-25, 21-25, in the classification round on Thursday.
With head coach Angiolino Frigoni giving his second stringers more action, Leo Ordiales still held the reins on offense to lead Alas with 13 points.

Marck Espejo and Buds Buddin chipped in 11 points each, while Jude Garcia added 10. Captain Bryan Bagunas, who led Alas in scoring in all three group-stage games, was limited to just one point.

Alas fought back to level the match after Indonesia took the opener, with Espejo delivering an attack and an ace in the second set to complete the turnaround.
The Philippines ran out of steam in the final two frames as Indonesia pulled away in the third and fourth sets to hand Alas Men its fourth straight defeat in Aichi-Nagoya.
Indonesia overcame 33 errors to close out the victory, while Alas committed 28 as its streak of giving up more than 20 errors in every Asian Games match continued.
The Nationals next take on Uzbekistan, with a win sending the Filipinos to the battle for 13th place and a loss relegating them to the match for 15th.
The Philippines finished 13th in the 2022 Asiad in Hangzhou, its worst finish in the competition.
