AIR Link International Aviation College (ALIAC) recently formalized its entry as the 12th member of the Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association (ISAA) for its 11th season unfolding in September at the MOA Arena in Pasay City.
ALIAC, which will use the monicker the Phoenix, will be competing against FEATI, Immaculada Conception, La Consolacion College, Manila Adventist, Tytana Colleges, PATTS, Phl Women’s University, St. Dominic College of Asia, Taguig U, Treston and Trinity College of Asia for the championship.
“On behalf of the board and members of the ISAA, it is with pride and with heartfelt gratitude that we welcome ALIAC in the ISAA,” said ISAA president Ruel dela Rosa. “I am very overwhelmed by the aspirations and expectations of the ALIAC with regards to the ISAA.
“I hope that we will not fail you as well,” he added.
ALIAC president and CEO Gomeriano Amurao said they have to exceed expectations and make an immediate impact on the league in their maiden season.
“We encourage our bright athletes to exude qualities of a sportsman and the spirit of fair play and display their athletic skills in the arena of friendly competition,” said Amurao.
Hopefully, we’ll be deserving of ISAA’s thrust and support not only today but in the years to come. We are praying that ISAA’s thrive increases the ‘aliah’ spirit in the hearts of the ALIAC community,” he added.
