THE UP Maroons are encouraging fellow sportsmen to do their share in helping the youth as they received the Spin.ph award in the Sportsmen Who Care category.

The Maroons made Spin.ph’s 2015 Sports Heroes list for their work with the children of the Lumads who were in Manila to protest the killings of several members of their community

The Fighting Maroons took care of the children while they were in Manila and held a special basketball clinic.

“Let sports live, let sports help a lot of kids,” said coach Allan Gregorio during the Spin.ph Sportsman of the Year awards night on Saturday at the Ceremonial Hall of the Marriott Hotel.
