Bullpups-powered NCR gains Palarong Pambansa semis with rout of Central Visayas' UV Baby Lancers

SAN Juan, Ilocos Sur — National Capital Region (NCR) defeated Central Visayas (CVIRAA), 87-58, on Thursday morning to advance to the semifinals of the Palarong Pambansa secondary boys basketball tournament at the San Juan Covered Court.

Gerry Abadiano scored 20 points to show the way for NCR, represented by NBTC champion National University, in its victory over Central Visayas, represented by Cesafi champion University of Visayas.

Carl Tamayo added 13 points, while Terrence Fortea had 12 points including a triple that put NCR ahead by 20 points, 41-21.

Abadiano scored the final four points of NU’s 11-0 run for a 68-49 lead.

Jearolan Omandac had with 17 points for CVIRAA, which played without Cesafi MVP Beirn Laurente due to an injury.
